18^th Annual Lantana Fishing Derby

The Greater Lantana Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce the 18^th Annual Lantana Fishing Derby, to be held on Saturday, May 5th.

This is one of Lantana’s biggest events benefitting a number of local charities and organizations. A signature event during Derby Weekend is our annual Kids' Derby. We donate fishing rods and tackle boxes to 50 underprivileged children, teach them to bait and cast, and hold a fishing contest at Lantana’s Bicentennial Park on the Intracoastal. We treat them to lunch, and the winning angler receives a new bicycle.

Entry fee is $225 per boat – for up to 4 anglers.

Over $10,000 in cash or prizes

$2500 for the biggest fish, and an additional $500 if it's over 60 lbs!
Cash prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd Kingfish, Dolphin and Wahoo.

Lots of great prizes at our raffle and silent auction, to be held at the Awards Banquet on Sunday, May 6, at the Old Key Lime House.

The public is invited to all the events during Derby Weekend

Schedule of events:

Thursday, May 3: Captains' Party - 7:00 pm - Grumpy Grouper

Saturday, May 5: Derby Day – Lines in 7am – No check-in.

Kids' Derby - 9:00am-Noon - Bicentennial Park, Ocean Ave., Lantana

Weigh-in 12:00-3:30 pm - Old Key Lime House, Ocean Ave., Lantana.

Sunday, May 6: Awards Banquet - 11:30am-4:00pm - Old Key Lime House
