Reception to Welcome 15th Incoming Class of Future Physicians,
Advance Innovation in Medical Education, Expand Community Health Initiatives


 As Florida Atlantic University’s Charles E. Schmidt College of Medicine (CoM) graduated its class of 2025, the College announces plans for its 15th Annual White Coats-4-Care (WC4C) fundraising reception presented by The Addison. Hosted to welcome the College’s incoming class of 80 future physicians, increase scholarship funds, advance innovation in medical education, support research, and expand community health initiatives – WC4C will be held Tuesday, August 12 at 6 p.m. at The Addison of Boca Raton.

 

Opportunities include:
• White Coat Sponsor: $250 to provide a medical student’s first white coat; includes one ticket.
• Compassionate Supporter: $500 provides a medical school scholarship in memory of
Founding Dean Michael L. Friedland, M.D. or Ira J. Gelb, M.D.; includes one ticket.
• Friend of the Schmidt College of Medicine: $1,000; includes two tickets.
• Wellness Partner: $2,500; includes two tickets.
• Healthcare Hero: $5,000; includes four tickets.
• Community Champion: $10,000; includes six tickets.
• Special Donation Opportunities:
o White Coat Society: $20,000 or more pledge to join to White Coat Society
Supports one student through all four years of medical school. The pledge is paid in
four installments of $5,000 per year and includes two WC4C tickets annually.
o Dean’s Circle: a legacy gift of $25,000 or more to establish an endowment
fund in one of the following areas: medical student scholarship, graduate student scholarship, medical school expansion, or biomedical research. The pledge is paid in
five installments of $5,000 per year and includes four WC4C tickets annually.
