Family and friends of Michael J. Metcalf honor him with a granite bench on Veterans Day during a memorial service at Veterans Memorial Park in Boynton Beach. Metcalf, an Army private first class, died in April trying to save four other soldiers while in Afghanistan as part of Operation Enduring Freedom. He was killed when his Hummer hit a roadside bomb.
