The annual Holiday Trunk Show, benefiting the Naoma Donnelley Haggin Boys and Girls Club in Delray Beach, has become the place to shop for distinctive holiday gifts.
“It’s all about holiday giving, Christmas and Hanukkah and all that good stuff,” said Susan Mullin, a co-chairwoman of the committee that planned  this year’s trunk show.
The trunk show, which celebrates its 10th anniversary this year, features everything from jewelry, toys and clothing to housewares, linens and stationery.
The 40 vendors featured in the trunk show come from all over the country, said Kari Shipley, who served as a co-chairwoman for the organizing committee.
“What we try to do is rotate one-third of the vendors every year so there are new vendors all the time,” Shipley said.
The trunk show has gotten so popular among businesses that there’s a constant waiting list of vendors who want to get in, Shipley said.
The appeal of the trunk show for shoppers is the variety and quality of the goods.
“We have a lot of different things, and they aren’t things you can find in a mall,” Shipley said. “There are a lot of $20, affordable items.”
The 10th annual Holiday Trunk Show, which will take place at The Seagate Hotel and Spa, at 1000 E. Atlantic Ave. in Delray Beach, kicks off with a preview cocktail reception from 6 to 8 p.m. Dec. 3. Tickets for the preview party are $85 per person and include cocktails and hors d’oeuvres.
The show is open to the public from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Dec. 4 and 5. Admission is free. The trunk show is sponsored by The Seagate Hotel and Spa and the law firm of Searcy, Denney, Scarola, Barnhart and Shipley.
All proceeds help support programming for more than 300 children who attend the Delray Beach Naoma Donnelley Haggin Boys and  Girls Club.
