Palmetto Park Road Bridge to close for 2 days

If you use the Palmetto Park Bridge regularly, make a note of this. On Wednesday, Jan. 29, the Palm Beach County Bridge Section will be closing the Palmetto Park Road Bridge over the Intracoastal Waterway in Boca Raton to vehicle and pedestrian traffic for 48 hours.
The bridge will be closed at 6 a.m. Jan. 29 and is scheduled to reopen at 6 a.m. Friday, Jan.31.
The closure is necessary to remove and replace old equipment in the machinery room on the east side. This is in addition to the planned closing of the bridge on Jan. 22 -24 to replace hydraulic equipment on the west side.
Call Bridge Superintendent Barry Meve at (561) 233-3975 or bmeve@pbcgov.org if you have questions.
