ABOVE: Lake Worth Beach resident Aaron Barnes, one of the founders of the local branch of the Surfrider Foundation, sorts through trash collected by volunteers at the cleanup and education event hosted by the Ocean Ridge Garden Club and the Town of Ocean Ridge. More than 100 people attended, including the 30-plus who spent a good share of the morning picking up trash on the beach. Volunteers representing 11 environmental organizations put up educational exhibits.
