Ocean Ridge: News Brief

Flood relief plans move forward — Four years in the making, work to reduce chronic high-tide flooding on Harbour Drive North in Ocean Ridge will soon be underway.

Town commissioners on July 8 unanimously agreed to award a nearly $500,000 contract to Heavy Civil construction company. With four other companies offering to do the work for $642,000 to more than $1 million, the Boca Raton company was the clear low bidder. Drainage improvements are to begin in several months and are expected to take six months to complete.
