Ocean Ridge: Bird sanctuary vote coming

Ocean Ridge came a step closer to becoming a bird sanctuary with an ordinance Commissioners passed on first reading at the June 7 meeting.

The ordinance, up for final approval July 12, protects birds from harm within the town’s bounds. The ordinance prohibits trapping or molesting birds or robbing
their nests.
