Ocean Ridge police officer Richard Jones stops in Briny Breezes to talk with Judy Dugan and her dog Rudy. Jones recently suggested that Briny might be served by a bicycle patrol to allow for easier movement in the community and promote more interaction with residents. Excellent idea! Community policing like that is a rare luxury, and we are very fortunate that the ORPD is in a position to offer it.
Would work well up and down Old Ocean/Ana as well, I would think. I recall seeing an officer on Old Ocean on a bike in 2008.
