Maria Rios, Lantana’s new town clerk, was sworn in on Aug. 27. She previously served as deputy town clerk and assistant to the town manager for three years.
As part of the town administration team, she assisted departments throughout the organization.
Rios, 29, lives in Broward County. Outside of work, she enjoys singing, going to the movies and working out at the gym.
“I’m very thankful for this opportunity and excited to continue giving my best to the town and our community,” she said. “I truly enjoy serving our residents and supporting my coworkers in any way I can, and I look forward to continuing to contribute in my new role.”
Rios replaces Kathleen Dominguez, who resigned in June after serving as clerk since January 2020. Since July 2023, Dominguez had worked remotely from Nashville, Tennessee, where her husband is employed.
