The Literacy Coalition of Palm Beach County had its annual gathering of elected officials to share updates about literacy efforts and opportunities to participate throughout the county. The event also served as a kickoff for the friendly competition among municipalities titled Read for the Record, when adults volunteer read the same book to children on Oct. 22.
