Mayor not seeking re-election: Delray Beach

By Hector Florin Mayor Rita Ellis announced that she will not be seeking re-election in March, citing another round of reconstructive surgery to heal her right foot injured at a city event in April. Ellis was elected to the commission in 2005 and won the mayoral seat in 2007. "This has been a most humbling experience that I will cherish as long as I live," she said.
