Place of Hope’s second recognition ceremony on Jan. 28 at St. Lucy Catholic Church honored local leaders in law enforcement as well as elected officials. Keynote speaker Liza Smoker discussed human trafficking, one of the nonprofit’s focus areas. Smoker said 48 human traffickers have been arrested in Palm Beach County, much due to the efforts of those receiving awards. ABOVE: (l-r) Highland Beach Police Chief Craig Hartmann, the Rev.
