More than 800 guests — a record — turned out to support the school and help raise in excess of $600,000, which will fund student scholarships. During the evening, university President John Kelly announced a $5 million gift from Bobby and Barbara Campbell to name the Bobby and Barbara Campbell Academic Success Center. Spread throughout three levels of the stadium, the gala offered gourmet dining, live and silent auctions and a fireworks display.
