K-8 students participating in the center’s after-school programs perform weeding before an Earth Day planting event. Children at the In the Pines North complex began pulling weeds when the maintenance crew had to attend to another project. ‘This has been an eye opener as the students are enthralled by the books they are reading and the discussion of doing something to keep our community beautiful,’ said Donna Marie Goray of Ocean Ridge, founder and volunteer treasurer of the Children’s Center.
