Design ideas sought for beach area: Delray Beach

In response to a request by the Beach Property Owners Association for creation of a master plan for the appearance of the beach area, the city of Delray Beach and the Community Redevelopment Agency have agreed to fund a collaborative effort to draft design solutions for the oceanfront and surrounding areas.
The CRA and the city have both agreed to spend $1,500 on a planning charrette to be held Nov.7 at the Delray Beach Marriott.
The charrette will focus on sidewalks, lighting, landscaping and other streetscape design issues.
For more information about the Beach Area Master Plan, contact BPOA President Mary Renaud at mprenaud@bellsouth.net or visit the BPOA Web site at www.bpoa-drb.com.
