More than 200 guests attended Hanley Foundation’s second gourmet event, which included a happy hour with appetizers, a signature mocktail, raffles and entertainment. The Boca Celebrity Cookoff served as the kickoff for the third annual Brice Makris Brunch, set for Dec. 3, and raised money for the Brice Makris Endowment Fund created in honor of its namesake. Mr. Makris died in 2019 of an accidental overdose. He was 23. The fund supports the foundation’s prevention-education and treatment programs.
