The gathering of the Florida chapter of the National Society of Arts and Letters was a magnificent success that honored Yaacov Heller and raised funds for scholarships and competitions for young talent. Heller, a renowned sculptor and silversmith, received the Lifetime Achievement Award during the evening. ‘The Star Maker Awards Gala is a stellar gathering of the area’s foremost arts advocates,’ said Kirsten Stephenson, chapter president. ‘Each year, we are delighted to witness the incredible young talent that our fundraisers support while paying homage to a cultural icon.’ ABOVE: (l-r) A’Keyah Williams, Alyce Erickson, Shari Upbin and T.J.
