The debut celebration organized by the Boca Raton Achievement Center showcased the abilities of children and young adults with special needs and lauded the families that support them. A highlight of the evening, attended by 80-plus, was a deeply moving speech by Suzanne Jarriel, a mother of two who shared her journey with her son’s autism diagnosis. ‘I had found our saving grace,’ Jarriel said. ‘BRAC is not just a school, it’s a community. It gives children and young adults with special needs a safe space and gives parents like me a network of support.’ ABOVE: Andrew Friis and Maxie Kaan-Lilly.
