More than 200 supporters of the Food for the Poor nonprofit attended the inaugural affair, which was highlighted by a Neiman Marcus fashion show and an inspiring talk from Michael Tonello, author of Bringing Home the Birkin, the story of her pursuit of a coveted handbag. Proceeds will benefit the charity’s Angels of the Poor program for children and families in need in the Caribbean and Latin America.
