Cheered on by friends adorned in pink, Lisa Quillian donated 17 inches of hair that will be made into wigs for cancer patients. ‘It wasn’t enough to just give away the hair,’ Quillian said. ‘I mean, I had been carrying it around for five years.’ So she made an event out of it, with auction items up for bid and champagne poured at the salon, which donated special discounts for all.
