WELLINGTON, FL – Wellington Bay and Lisbet Memory Care, a luxury retirement community, proudly hosted the Senior Safety & Prevention Expo presented by B.Home Solutions Inc. on Thursday, January 30, 2025, from 12:30 PM to 3:30 PM.
The event provided seniors and their families with valuable resources and information to promote safety and well-being.
The expo featured a range of free health screenings, expert demonstrations, and informative presentations.
Physicians from Advanced Surgical Physicians shared their expertise on various health topics. Dr. Andrew Shapiro, Director of the Breast Center at Wellington Regional Medical Center, provided insights on breast cancer and general surgery, while Dr. Kyle Eldredge, Director of the Wound Center at Wellington Regional Medical Center, discussed hyperbaric oxygen therapy, tissue grafting, and colorectal cancer.
Roshini Singh, Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner, CEO, and founder of 365 Wellness, conducted hearing and memory screenings.
Attendees also had the opportunity to participate in a hands-only CPR and AED course and Stop the Bleed training offered by Palm Beach County Fire Rescue. This valuable training, based on the American College of Surgeons program, taught participants life-saving techniques to control bleeding.
Howard Weitzner, Esq., a Coral Springs-based attorney specializing in senior injury law, addressed legal issues relevant to seniors and Linda Borgmeyer, founder of the Wisdom Warrior Challenge was on-hand to share her passion for senior fitness, mobility and wellness.
