The Palm Beach Gardens retirement community celebrates its 15th anniversary and looks ahead with optimism to the future

(Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.) - Devonshire at PGA National opened its doors to the community’s first residents in 1999.  This year marks the 15th anniversary for the Palm Beach Gardens retirement community, which recently came together to remember the past, celebrate the present, and look forward to a bright future.

On June 11, Devonshire hosted an anniversary event for the residents and staff of the community.  Guest speakers shared their thoughts on the wonderful milestone and the Devonshire Choral Group performed two original songs written in recognition of the 15th anniversary.

Florence Kaplan, who was one of the very first residents of Devonshire, shared her memories of moving to the community and why she loves the Devonshire lifestyle more than ever today.

“I was still in my 60s when I settled on moving to Devonshire,” said Kaplan.  “My good health and young age allowed me to participate in the wonderful lifestyle and amenities that Devonshire offers.  With Erickson Living guiding our future, we look forward to further enhancements in our enjoyable lifestyle.”

Devonshire’s Executive Director, Robin Gliboff, opened and closed the event, focusing on the theme of “The Future is Clear”.

“There is so much to look forward to here at Devonshire,” said Gliboff.  “There are so many vibrant residents and dedicated staff at the community.  As we look ahead, we will build on their wonderful past experiences, and will continue to provide a distinctive retirement lifestyle in southern Florida.”

Devonshire’s new owner and manager, Erickson Living, is dedicated to reinvesting in the community and ensuring it remains attractive to today’s and tomorrow’s seniors.  Factors that will contribute to the community’s future success include: its financial strength with a debt-free capital structure; preserving the community’s unique culture; strong leadership; cultivating a high-performance team; keeping resident interests as a top priority; delivering a culture of service excellence; and providing high quality integrated health care, just to name a few.

“There is no doubt that Erickson Living’s mission and values are the pathway for the future success of Devonshire, reflecting the direction and spirit of our leadership, operations, and services,” noted Gliboff.

Other guest speakers at the event included Commissioner Hal Valeche of the Palm Beach County Board of County Commissioners and Jack Head, Devonshire’s Resident Council President.
