Town of Ocean Ridge Job Opening Announcement




Town of Ocean Ridge (population 1,943) is seeking a motivated and qualified individual to fill the position of a full-time PUBLIC WORKS I. This position is responsible for performing skilled work of considerable difficulty in the areas of maintenance and repairs, the upkeep of the Town’s infrastructure such as buildings, roads and streets, water distribution lines, pump stations, drainage/stormwater collection systems, and landscaping.


Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent and a valid driver’s license, and have a minimum of (3) years of Public Works or related experience in construction or building maintenance, preferably in a government setting. Water distribution and stormwater collection systems management and technical training in equipment operation and maintenance preferred. Current Level C Stormwater certification and FDEP Level 3 Water Distribution certification preferred. Starting Salary $44,500 based upon qualifications and experience.
