Cafe Boulud:
For those whose New Year’s Eve plans call for hitting the party circuit, get the ball rolling with a delicious dinner at Café Boulud before heading out for a night on the town. From 5:30 until 7 pm, a four course repast is offered for $90 with selections that span fresh Caspian Osetra Caviar, Torchon de Foie Gras, and entrees such as Slow Roasted Prime Rib and Glazed Fresh Ham.
From 8pm until 10 pm, five course dinners will be served.
The New Year’s Eve Gala Celebration includes a champagne toast, noisemakers and five inspired gender specific courses created by Chef Zach Bell. A sampling for the ladies includes an appetizer of Torchon de Foie Gras, and a main course of Natural Beef Tenderloin ‘larded” with perigord truffles.’ The gentlemen begin with Lobster Salad and will enjoy a main course of Duo of Veal, prime rib of veal and vol-au-vent forestiere. Pastry Chef Matthew Petersen’s Lemon and Local Strawberry Pavlova will delight the ladies and Chocolate Orange Mousse Tower for the gents. five course tasting menu dinner $250 per person and wine pairing is $100 extra per person. DJ Nick Flash will spin dance music from 10 pm until 1 am.
On New Year’s Day, three-course brunch will be served for $36 from 12-2:30 pm. Appetizers include Lobster Salad, freshly made market soup and Pâté De Campagne. Entrees span Café Boulud ‘Bénédict’, Slow Braised Pork Shank and Chopped Chicken Cobb. Banana-Passion Fruit Parfait and Chocolate Mousse Cake are among the offereings. Dinner that night will be served a carte from 5:30 pm until 10 pm.
