Since last summer we have been opening our home to 10 dogs that needed a foster home. Of course, not to all at the same time! It has been a joy getting to know these dogs that have given us such unconditional love. We regularly take our foster dogs for a walk through the Toscana grounds, A1A, the beach, the Highland Beach Library, the post office, and even the Fire Department. Most staff members know our dogs by name. Toscana employees and Highland Beach residents know what we do: our passion is helping animals in need. Many Highland Beach residents have met our foster dogs around town. Fostering dogs has been an amazing experience. Everyone always asks us: "Isn't is hard to give them away?". The answer is "YES". It is very hard, but we love knowing that we saved one more dog and there are more to be saved. We not only volunteer at the local shelter and for local rescue groups, but we also review online adoption applications, raise money, collect items for the organizations, and donate money ourselves. Helping the animals give us such joy and it is a family affair.

If you love animals and would like to get more involved, please contact any of the organizations below to find out ways you can help the local animals in need. All of these organizations are always in need of donations, volunteers and foster homes:
