We volunteer for the Tri-County Humane Society as well as foster dogs from A Second Chance Puppies & Kittens Rescue. We were planning on going to the shelter tomorrow with our son Alex because our beloved dog died a few months ago and her birthday was going to be tomorrow. In her honor, we wanted to buy some healthy puppy treats to bring to the dogs at the shelter. We went to Fins, Furs, N' Feathers to purchase the items. We took our foster dog, Carley with us. Lisa started petting Carley and as soon as she learned that Carley was a foster dog she gave her all kinds of treats to take home with us at no cost. When we told Lisa the reason why we went there, she immediately took a bag, filled it up with all kinds of special cookies and said: "Here, just take it! You guys are doing so much already fostering a pet. I want to help!" She did not want us to pay for it. In addition, she said that they were having a raffle to raise funds for the shelter and the prize was a blanket that she had made herself. It was beautiful! We bought some raffle tickets before we left. Needless to say, we were in shock. Just when we thought that old fashion kindness was gone, we run into someone as special as Lisa and the staff at Fins, Furs, N' Feathers in Boca Raton. We did not know that the store had been there for over 40 years, but now we know why they have been in business for so long. They truly care about the pets and their customers. Next time we are in need of some pets supplies, guess where we are going: Fins, Furs, N' Feathers! We encourage people to do the same! 1975 N. Federal Hwy.
