PEMBROKE PINES, FL (August 25, 2025) – The annual Harbor Lights Classic Golf Tournament is set for Monday, October 27 from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Grande Oaks Golf Club in Davie to benefit Children’s Harbor, a nationally accredited non-profit agency with a mission to help strengthen families who are struggling in our community, while providing safe shelter and support to teens in foster care so that they may grow into healthy, educated and productive adults.
“Whether you choose to join us on the course, support through sponsorship, or volunteer your time behind the scenes, every contribution helps us create a brighter, more hopeful future for the teens and families we serve,” said Tiffani Dhooge, President and CEO of Children’s Harbor. “By joining us at the beautiful Grande Oaks course, you can make a difference in helping to build a brighter future for our teens and their siblings.”
The event features a $500 tee sign sponsorship opportunity, open not only to seasoned golfers but also to supporters of all experience levels who wish to contribute to Children’s Harbor’s mission. Participants can choose from a variety of bundles, including singles and foursome packages, which offer a chance to compete in a putting contest. Non-golfer packages are also available for those who want to be a part of the event without hitting the course. All participants will enjoy a complimentary breakfast, an awards ceremony luncheon, and access to an open bar featuring a selection of liquor, beer, and wine on the course. They will also take home exclusive SWAG bags.
Since its inaugural year in 2024, the tournament has gained popularity and excitement, attracting new supporters like golf media personality and professional long-drive golfer Averee Dovesek, among other notable guests. Whether you are a professional or a hobbyist, all skill levels are invited to enjoy a day of golf while supporting local teens and families.
Grande Oaks, located at 3201 W. Rolling Hills Circle in Davie, boasts a pristine 18-hole, par-71 course. Recently renovated by the legendary golfer Raymond Floyd, who also designed the course, it features Celebration grass on the tees and fairways, along with Tift Eagle grass on the putting surfaces.

About Children’s Harbor
Established in 1996, Children’s Harbor is a nationally accredited child welfare organization with a mission to help strengthen families who are struggling in our community, while providing safe shelter and support to teens in foster care so that they may grow into healthy, educated and productive adults. With the belief that children should feel safe, that family is worth fighting for and that cycles can be broken, Children’s Harbor provides a harbor of hope and healing for children who have been impacted by the trauma of child abuse. The main campus in Pembroke Pines provides a supportive family environment for teenagers in foster care and their younger siblings. The family support services program prevents kids from coming into foster care by providing free in-home counseling and support to families who are struggling in the community. Additionally, Brown’s Harbor is a supportive housing community dedicated to serving young adults, aged 18-23, who have aged out of the foster care system. These young adults are provided with affordable housing and the wrap-around support and independent living programs necessary to help them overcome their trauma and navigate through the early stages of adulthood.
