Recently the new laser "fad" has returned whereby fun-loving idiots play on the beach late at night and aim their lasers at condos along the Coast (particularly just south of Atlantic Avenue). Having only today heard about the pilot who sustained eye damage while attempting to land at Palm Beach International Airport, it makes me wonder what actual fun this might be???
Last night while attempting to traverse the gridlock commonly known as Atlantic Avenue, heading West from East, I was stuck at three traffic lights three times because there simply was no place for the cars on Atlantic to go. I was "aimed" at by some more idiots playing outside the seafood restaurant on Atlantic, East of Northbound Federal Highway.....I think it is JJ's. These brilliant "boys" in their 20's were directing their fun at trying to blind drivers with their lasers. I don't know if they worked at the restaurant, were dining at the restaurant or were in any way attached to the restaurant. They were simply in front of the restaurant while staffers watched them.
Could it be that we are all supposed to arm ourselves with lasers to ward off these attacks? Usually they have a caveat printed on them dictating that one should not aim the lasers into the eyes of animals or pets. Stands to reason they would also be harmful to humans?
