The Artists’ Guild Biennial Exhibit Coincides With 61st Annual All Florida Exhibition at the Boca Raton Museum of Art, Boca Raton, FL

Exhibition:  Wednesday, May 30 through July 8, 2012 during museum hours

BOCA RATON – The Artists’ Guild, a very talented subsidiary of the Boca Raton Museum of Art, has 45 members who have been juried in to the prestigious and highly competitive Biennial Exhibition that coincides with the 61st Annual All Florida Exhibition and Competition held at the Boca Raton Museum of Art.

This showing of our signature member artists’ work is very special,” says Roni DiSabello, past president and chair of the Biennial, “because we have great representation in all mediums. They are all so talented and diverse in their subject matter and expression.” This year’s biennial winners show that diversity:

FIRST PLACE: Estelle Lavin of Boynton Beach “Southern Comfort II" Watercolor
SECOND PLACE: Jane McIntyre of Boca Raton " Jeffery II - Also" Graphite on Paper
THIRD PLACE: Allan Pierce of Ft. Lauderdale "Store Fronts with Living Spaces" Photography
JUROR'S RECOGNITION: Hanne Niederhausen of Boca Raton "Mellow Meal" Assemblage
HONORABLE MENTION: Jerome Glickman of Boynton Beach "Wood Nymph" Pastel

The range of subject matter is from landscapes to social commentary on life’s simplest pleasures to complex realities.  The show is a must to see and take in these varying viewpoints expressed so eloquently. All of our juried exhibitions encourage new and seasoned local artists to bring their exciting artistic styles to be displayed at our gallery exhibit center, located at 512 E. Atlantic Ave in Delray Beach. “Also, says Ralph Papa, president, “we are fortunate to have our members’ works at venues throughout Palm Beach County as a way of bringing visibility for the artists and a means for the cultural community to enjoy a variety of art medium.”
