SFWIC is an invitation-only community of women leaders working in business and entrepreneurship. Tuesday's event drew founders, executives, and professionals from across South Florida.

The evening ran as a conversation and a question-and-answer session rather than a formal address. Dr. Ann spoke about how she reads people and organizations, how she builds teams, and what she has learned running companies in several industries at once. The questions ranged well beyond business.

“What I enjoyed most about the evening was the opportunity to have an honest, open conversation with women who are thinking deeply about leadership, business, and what it means to build something meaningful,” said Dr. Ann Monis, executive entrepreneur. “I believe some of the most valuable insights come not from a prepared speech, but from the questions we ask one another and the perspectives we’re willing to share.”

Dr. Ann brings behavioral insight to decisions that are usually made on instinct. That foundation shapes how she assesses people, develops teams, and builds companies meant to last. She is at work on a forthcoming trilogy examining behavior, biology, and human capacity over time. Attendees joined the waitlist for the first book, From Anxious to Aging, at drann.com.

Underpinning the work is a clinical foundation. Dr. Ann is a licensed clinical and forensic psychologist, and that training shapes how each of her organizations is built and why she treats behavior as an operational question rather than a soft one.
