(Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.) - On May 2, Devonshire at PGA National celebrated the annual tradition of Ladies' Day at the community. Over 100 ladies turned out for the event, which focused on the celebration of both springtime and motherhood.
In the United States, Mother's Day became an official holiday in 1914 and this year was celebrated on Sunday, May 10. Ladies' Day at Devonshire provides an opportunity to honor the mothers of the community, including those who have children, and those ladies who may not have their own children, but nurture those loved ones around them.
On May 2, 115 ladies joined together at Devonshire for the Ladies' Day celebration, featuring freshly cut tulips and orchids, women's derby hats and fascinators, and refreshments. The Jupiter High School chorus performed for the ladies, as well. Following the Ladies' Day event, residents enjoyed a viewing of the Kentucky Derby that evening in the community theater and lounge.
