(Palm Beach Gardens, FL) - Cartoonist Charles Schulz once said, “Christmas is doing a little something extra for someone.” The season of sharing and giving was in full swing at Devonshire at PGA National over the holidays.

On Friday, December 19, many staff who provide services to the residents at Devonshire and Chatsworth, the community’s continuing care neighborhood, received a special holiday gift; donated funds from the Staff Appreciation campaign at the community. Throughout the year, residents donate toward the campaign as a way to say “thank you” to many of the employees at the community.

This year, $100,000 was donated by residents for distribution among 210 staff members at Devonshire and Chatsworth. Staff who received the donated funds may be members of the dining service, housekeeping, security, transportation, activities, communication, and grounds staff, as well as the community’s certified nursing assistants.

“This is always a special time of year at the community,” said Shelli Giardino, Director of Human Resources. “This campaign allows residents another way to express their gratitude to the employees who provide the services that make Devonshire and Chatsworth wonderful places to live.”
