Pembroke Pines, FL (November 5, 2024) — Children’s Harbor, a nationally accredited child welfare organization with a mission to help strengthen families who are struggling in the community, hosted its annual Halloween Harbor Night on Thursday, October 17th, at Children’s Harbor’s main campus 19410 SW 58th Pl Pembroke Pines, FL 33332. Proceeds collected from the event helped Children’s Harbor with its mission to continue providing a safe shelter and support to teens and families.
Every year, Children’s Harbor transforms into a spine-chilling Halloween experience, with the kids who live on campus taking the lead. They planned, designed, and decorated the haunted hotel, which created an unforgettable evening for attendees. Guests ventured through the eerie haunted adventures, snacked on candy, listened to spooky music, and participated in a costume contest. Plus, the raffle winner was given two tickets to Children’s Harbor’s annual Boat Parade Watch Party happening December 14!
"Halloween Harbor Night was a huge success!" said Tiffani Dhooge, President and CEO of Children's Harbor. "Our kids did an amazing job assisting with the Haunted Mansion. Families and friends came out to enjoy the fun, festive, and spooky activities. It was wonderful to see the community come together for such a special evening."
Halloween Harbor Night, brought to life by the creative kids at Children’s Harbor, transformed into a magical experience that captivated families and friends alike. The annual event not only celebrated Halloween but also highlighted the strength of community bonds, proving that together a difference can be made.

About Children’s Harbor
Established in 1996, Children’s Harbor is a nationally accredited child welfare organization with a mission to help strengthen families who are struggling in our community, while providing safe shelter and support to teens in foster care so that they may grow into healthy, educated and productive adults.
With the belief that children should feel safe, that family is worth fighting for and that cycles can be broken, Children’s Harbor provides a harbor of hope and healing for children who have been impacted by the trauma of child abuse. The main campus in Pembroke Pines provides a supportive family environment for teenagers in foster care and their younger siblings. The family support services program prevents kids from coming into foster care by providing free in-home counseling and support to families who are struggling in the community. Additionally, Brown’s Harbor is a supportive housing community dedicated to serving young adults, aged 18-23, who have aged out of the foster care system. These young adults are provided with affordable housing and the wrap-around support and independent living programs necessary to help them overcome their trauma and navigate through the early stages of adulthood.
