On September 23 at 4:00 p.m. the Delray Beach Historical Society is having a docent meeting at Cason Cottage Museum, 3 NE First Street. The meeting is to get additional local people interested in participating in the docent program. The cottage is open October through April on Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 3.p.m. and by appointment. Cason Cottage is a restored house built in 1915 by the prominent Cason family and features South Florida Lifestyle from 1915 to 1935. The cottage is used as a teaching tool for local history. It is completely furnished as if a family were living there. Recently a native Florida garden was planted in front.
