This month will cover a range of Jewish traditions, texts and insights in the realm of visiting the sick, comforting the bereaved, and how we confront our own mortality. 

Rabbi Dr. Steven Moss has served B’nai Israel in Oakdale, Long Island, as its Rabbi since 1972. He is now Rabbi Emeritus. He is currently chaplain to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Department and the recipient of numerous awards including Chaplain of the Year and Rabbi of the Year from the New York Board of Rabbis, as well as recognition from the Police Department, the County Executive’s office and the District Attorney’s office.  He recently published “God is With Me; I Have No Fear”, and “A Poetical Journey Through Sefirat HaOmer”.  He has also written numerous articles for JewishSacredAging.com and is a member of Temple Beth El.
