Sunday, May 26 at 7: Arts Garage presents Flavio Silva and Break Free. Flavio Silva is a musician who is part of a new generation of Brazilian composers and instrumentalists that has been breaking through the musical scene of different places. They have been through Brazil, The Netherlands and most recently, New York. Break Free is an exploration between cultures, and so incorporates the American art form with both African and Afro Brazilian sounds. The multi-brand endorsee presents this dynamic and versatile music with particular dexterity and flair, while maintaining the attention and appreciation of all music lovers.

Flavio has shared the stage with some highly skilled musicians such as Victor Wooten, Seamus Blake, Munir Hossn, Antonio Hart, Bruce Williams, Kendrick Scott, Eric Harland, Cuca Teixeira, Sandro Haick, Thiago Espirito Santo, Marcus Gilmore, Ben Williams, Louis Cato, Reggie Washington, Alex Han, Nicolas Viccaro and Ettiene Mbappe, among others. Flávio has performed in some important venues such as The Kennedy Center in Washington D.C, Smalls Jazz Club and Smoke Jazz Club, among others. Also, Flavio has performed in some of the best festivals in Europe including the North Sea Jazz Festival (The Netherlands), Langnau Jazz Nights (Switzerland), Koektebel Jazz Party (Ukraine), Gronau Jazz Festival(Germany) and Delft Jazz Festival (The Netherlands).
