Carli’s performance will focus on his latest CD, Follow Me, a tribute to Nobel Peace Prize winner and environmental activist Wangari Maathai, in addition to original music and jazz standards. Born and raised in Puerto Rico, Carli Muñoz is a jazz pianist whose music of choice was jazz, European avant-garde and American pop music. From 1970 through 1981, Muñoz toured with the Beach Boys, playing Hammond B3 and piano. He has recorded and performed with notable jazz artists.
