The Palm Beach Gardens retirement community debuts a fresh new look reflective of its five-star distinction

(Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.) - Devonshire at PGA National, an Erickson Living retirement community in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla., has partnered with a local design firm to create an interior modernization plan for several common spaces in the community.  Devonshire has recently debuted a few of those renewed areas, and will continue to ensure the community retains its celebrated elegant ambiance throughout the phases of the modernization project.

7961419700?profile=original“Devonshire is a known destination for distinct and luxury living,” said Devonshire’s Executive Director Robin Gliboff.  “These spaces are an extension of each resident’s own apartment home, and that is the key factor to consider during this process.”

Devonshire’s management team has worked in collaboration with a resident design committee and the North Palm Beach design firm, Peacock + Lewis Architects and Planners, LLC., to create the optimal blend of comfort and sophistication.  According to their website, Peacock + Lewis has been providing architecture and interior design services to communities, organizations, business owners, governments, and individuals since 1961.

7961420655?profile=originalDevonshire, located on 26 acres on the grounds of PGA National, offers the largest apartment homes of any senior living community in South Florida, as well as a number of popular shared spaces such as their five distinct on-campus restaurants, a lounge, a theater, a performing arts center, an outdoor swimming pool, and a fitness center.   Several of those areas were identified for a redesign in the first phase of the modernization plan now nearing completion.  The Living Room, an area that provides for a meeting and gathering point for many residents, has just debuted new carpet, paint, artwork, furniture, and lighting fixtures. The Windsor, Cavendish, and the Verandah, three of the community’s dining venues, also received a refresh.  In addition, Devonshire’s entrance atrium has been reconditioned and provides a new welcoming area for residents and guests of the community.

7961420680?profile=originalA second phase of modernization is also in the near future for Devonshire.  The community will partner again with Peacock + Lewis, as well as Lantz-Boggio architects, headquartered in Englewood, CO.  That phase will include an expansion of the bar and lounge area, revealing additional space to host gatherings with exquisite community views.  It will also feature a refresh of the Stratford (the community’s performing arts center), including a brand new audio system, as well as a revitalization of the on-site fitness center.  Wellness classes are offered for all fitness levels at Devonshire; yoga, aquacise, and meditation are among the most popular.

Other common spaces including the card room, tea room, and billiards room, will also receive a new look during the project’s second phase, along with the two other dining locales on campus.  Additional plans in the future may include a refinement of the outdoor landscaping, leisure, and dining spaces at Devonshire.  Upon completion, the modernization plan will reflect a tailored approach to enriching the community experience for current and future residents who choose the Devonshire lifestyle.
