Everyone is invited to celebrate the start of the equestrian season at the always-popular Wellington Chamber of Commerce’s WinterFest, presented by Equestrian Sport Productions. The free, family-friendly event will feature festive activities and attractions, including real snow, a visit from Santa, holiday vendors, children activities and live entertainment by Vanilla Ice and The Voice’s Michaela Paige. A highlight of the evening will be an equestrian show jumping competition and exciting live drawings to determine the first 24 participating charities in the 2014 FTI Consulting Great Charity Challenge presented by Fidelity Investments® (FTI GCC).
More than 350 charities throughout Palm Beach County registered for the 2014 FTI GCC, which has raised and distributed more than $4.2 million to nearly 100 nonprofits over the last four years. A total of 34 local charities will be randomly selected to participate in this year’s competition for a chance to win cash prizes ranging from a top prize of $150,000 to the $10,000 amount that every participating charity will win. Prizes will be awarded at the 2014 FTI GCC during a world-class show jumping event featuring Pro-Amateur rider teams.
