WEST PALM BEACH, FLA. – Palm Beach Atlantic University has recently acquired the prestigious and long running Probate and Pumpernickel, a luncheon and educational series for attorneys and CPAs. Joyce Boyer, who established the series more than 30 years ago, passed away in June.

Palm Beach Atlantic University had hosted the West Palm Beach series in the Warren Library for several years.

“Joyce was a dear friend and colleague,” University President William M.B. Fleming, Jr. said. “While we mourn her passing, we honor her desire that Probate and Pumpernickel will continue for many years to come.”

Probate and Pumpernickel programs occur monthly in Fort Lauderdale, Boca Raton, West Palm Beach, Palm Beach Gardens, Naples and Sarasota as well as Greenville, S.C.  Attorneys and CPAs receive Continuing Legal Education Credit for attending the programs at no charge. The series has been supported by various, prominent financial services firms throughout its history. Today, Comerica Bank in Florida and UBS Financial Services in South Carolina sponsor Probate and Pumpernickel.

Palm Beach Atlantic University is a private, independent university offering undergraduate, graduate and professional degrees in West Palm Beach, Orlando, Wellington and online. The University is dedicated to the integration of Christian principles to prepare students for learning, leadership and service.
