One Book Boca returns to BRPL this year with The Soul of an Octopus: A Surprising Exploration into the Wonder of Consciousness by Sy Montgomery. The library staff chose this National Book Award finalist and New York Times bestseller for its funny, entertaining, touching, and profound exploration of this fascinating and intelligent sea creature and the implications regarding the connections it makes with humans.

Author and popular naturalist Sy Montgomery has been called "equal parts poet and scientist" by The New York Times. Montgomery will discuss the book, her work and animal adventures at this event.
