The time has come to release Lightning back into the Atlantic Ocean! Lightning has made a full recovery after battling an infection from an injury. This subadult loggerhead is now healthy and eager to hit the surf!
On July 31, 2014 at 4:30 p.m., Gumbo Limbo will be releasing Lightning at Spanish River Park at 3001 Ocean Blvd, Boca Raton, FL. The parking fees will be waived after 4:00 p.m. Make sure you are on the beach (through the middle tunnel) before 4:30 p.m. so you do not miss this very special moment!
