City of Lake Worth HOSTS Holiday Parade – December 8, 2012

The City of Lake Worth will be hosting the Holiday (Christmas) Parade on Saturday, December 8, 2012 which will begin at 6:00 PM. The following roads will be closed from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM (approximate) for the staging and parade route.

North Federal Highway will be closed from Lucerne Avenue to 10^th Avenue North. South Federal Highway will be closed from Lake Avenue to 1^st Avenue South.

Vehicle traffic traveling northbound on South Federal Highway will be detoured west bound on 1^st Avenue South to South Dixie Highway. Vehicle Traffic traveling southbound on North Federal Highway will be detoured west bound on 10^th Avenue North to North Dixie Highway.   

Lake Avenue will be closed between Dixie Highway and Federal Highway. Lucerne Avenue will be closed from North O Street to Dixie Highway. East-bound traffic on Lake Avenue will be detoured north and south at Dixie Highway. West bound traffic over the bridge will be detoured south bound on North O Street (Ocean Breeze) to 1^st Avenue South then west to Dixie Highway. There will be detour signs in place to direct vehicle traffic.

The Lake Worth Bridge will remain open at all times.  Anyone wanting to access the bridge from the south end will be detoured at 2^nd Avenue South then east bound to the bridge and anyone wanting to access the bridge from the north end will be detoured at 10^th Avenue North then east bound to the bridge.
