The Boca Raton Public Library is pleased to display “The Art of Imagination,” an exhibit by South Florida-based artist Dana Donaty. An artist-in-residence at Bakehouse Art Complex in Miami, Donaty has completed many award-winning public art projects, been featured in over 50 national and international publications, and garnered multiple awards within the design industry. Her work has been sought after by collectors, business professionals, celebrities, sports figures, and government agencies.

Donaty is widely recognized for her provocative canvases with unusual narratives. Visitors will see an exhilarating mix of monstrous party animals and humans that are having a great time as Donaty convinces us of their potential reality and believability. “I’m interested in exploring the space that is occupied between childhood and now,” Donaty noted in Opulence magazine. “The work really is concerned about the life of the imagination and taking that imagination seriously.”

“The Art of Imagination” will run from February 17 through March 25, 2017, at the Downtown Library, an Art in Public Places venue, at 400 NW 2nd Avenue. This free exhibit is open to the public during regular library hours.
