CLAY GLASS METAL STONE Cooperative Gallery Presents A Celebration of Earth Day LAKE WORTH, FL – The Clay Glass Metal Stone Gallery located at 605 Lake Avenue in downtown Lake Worth invites you to join us for a celebration of Earth Day, Friday April 23, 2010 from 6:00 – 9:00 PM. The evening will be a tribute to the link between Art and Nature, featuring original work by some of the area’s leading artists including jewelry by Karen McGovern, sculpture and assemblage designs by Karen Windchild, pottery and sculpture by Edith Perla-Smith, and much more. Special guests include 1000 Friends of Florida, the Oceanside Green Market, and the Lake Worth Tree Board (LWTB). Free wildflower seeds will be given away, as well as young Zamia furfurcea, or cardboard palms, generously donated by the LWTB. These unusual, leafy plants are believed to have been around since the time of the dinosaurs and are drought and salt-tolerant, perfect for South Florida. Wine and special edible delights will be offered during this evening of Art and Nature. This event is brought to you by Gallery artists Karen McGovern, Karen Windchild, and Edith-Perla Smith.
